Freeride performance that’s fine-tuned for females

Lighter than its unisex counterpart, the women’s specific Atris Birdie has the same stable and manoeuvrable characteristics but without the bulk. As well as being less cumbersome, the Atris Birdie benefits from a lengthened radius, softer flex and increased rise in the tail. These changes mean that the Birdie variant is more stable at high speed or when on an edge, without noticeably altering its overall handling or character.

One for all occasions

Unless you’re rolling in cash, most of us have to settle for just one pair of skis. That makes it even more important to ensure you’re buying a set which offer you versatility whatever the terrain or conditions - the Atris Birdie is one such ski. At 107mm underfoot its slightly bigger than most people are used to, but what it gains from the increased surface area is bumper float and increased on-snow stability. This allows it to transition from deep snow, to choppy crud and onto groomed pistes with next to no hassle, making it more than worthy of the “one-ski-quiver” label.

“Pop” and “flex” are more than just buzz words

With its full poplar wood core, the Atris Birdie gives you durable, long-lasting performance with continuous and even flex from tip to tail.  The flex pattern is complemented by biaxial fibreglass which runs the full length of the ski and enhances the poplar’s natural pop and rebound. In layman’s terms, the more flex you’ve got, the more forgiving the ski is. In contrast, the more pop in the ski, the more lively and responsive it handles.

Obedient yet playful, the Black Crows Atris Birdie is a perfect balance of response and manageable feel. If you want a one-ski-quiver that leans towards freeride fun, then the Atris Birdie is a no-brainer. This ski goes everywhere - floaty, playful, strong and versatile – it’s easy to see why it’s Black Crows biggest selling woman’s ski.
