THE BLACK CROWS CAMOX BIRDIE ISN’T JUST ANOTHER UNISEX SKI DISGUISED UNDER A “GIRLY” TOPSHEET AND A SHORTER LENGTH - IT’S AN ALL-TERRAIN SLAYER THAT’S BUILT FROM THE CORE OUT EXCLUSIVELY FOR THE LADIES

When the conditions aren’t deep enough to justify the Atris Birdie, you’ll find yourself gravitating towards Black Crows Camox Birdie. They’re mountain-wide rippers that carry plenty of float thanks to their 97mm waist - they’ll happily accommodate park laps, resort “shoosting” or powder slashing. The softer flex in the tip and tail make the Camox Birdie super-cruisey in soft snow, while the stiffer flex underfoot gives them responsive edge transition and bomber grip on firmer slopes.

Solid foundations

A lot of skis are still built using a combination of wood and, what is essentially, expanding foam. Sure, this makes the skis marginally lighter, but it also gives them the structural integrity of a Cadburys Crunchie. The Camox Birdie is built entirely around a full Poplar core - a premium hard wood that’s renowned for its great flexibility properties – providing continuous and even flex from tip to tail, it’s no surprise it’s the go-to choice for ski-cores. The core’s also layered up with carbon kevlar laminates which run the full length of the ski to enhances the poplar’s natural pop. We don’t know about you, but that sure sounds a lot more solid than honeycomb confectionary.

All about those curves

The Camox Birdie’s Flared Tip provides excellent float in powder and breezes through crud and uneven snowpack. Complemented by its double rocker nose/tail which enhances lift in powder regardless of whether you’re skiing regular or switch, giving the Camox Birdie a fun yet responsive character. This is topped off with the reliability of medium height traditional camber underfoot, giving the ski a good balance between stability and manoeuvrability.

Mid-fat and very responsive, Black Crows have got the all-terrain game dialled with the Camox Birdie. They’re ideal for intermediate all-mountain riders who want a ski which can charge virgin slopes in the morning, cruise piste at lunch and hit rails in the afternoon.
