PROMISING ALL-MOUNTAIN STABILITY AND CONTROL ON A FULL-ROCKER PROFILE, BLACK CROWS HAD THEIR WORK CUT OUT FOR THEMSELVES WITH THE DAEMON BIRDIE – BUT THAT’S EXACTLY WHAT THEY’VE DELIVERED

OK, so you’ve just read that top header and you’re thinking to yourself "stability… control... full rocker?!" Well, you’d be forgiven for having concerns – historically full rocker profile has been the camber of choice in park and powder skis due to its loose, playful handle and desire to stay afloat in deep conditions, with the trade-off being less control in steep and firm conditions. Black Crows have done their homework though, and by reinforcing the ski with a titanal band in a select portion of the core, they’ve managed to keep the Daemon Birdie super soft and fun in the nose and tail, while creating all important control and grip through the main body – meaning surfy, loose float in powder, with precise and stable control on hardpack… what more could you ask for?...

…Well, how about female specific construction and dimensions?

It’s no secret that most ski manufacturers take a man’s model, cut it down in size, slap a somewhat condescending “girly” graphic on it and call it a female ski. We don’t know about you, but that seems both lazy and a bit disingenuous to women’s freeskiing. Black Crows know the value of creating bespoke skis for their female customers. It’s something they’ve always taken the time to nurture within their Birdie range, and the Daemon Birdie’s true to form. So, don’t settle for second best, get a ski which works with your unique geometry and weight distribution and allows you to shred to your full potential.

A Jack (or Jill) of all trades

If you want a ski which provides plenty of high speed stability, bags of float in powder, a forgiving ride in crud and quick, nimble turns through trees, you can’t really fare much better than the Black Crows Daemon Birdie. Buttery soft in the nose and tail – which is apt given you can press and butter them with next to no effort – but stiff as hell beneath the bindings, they offer a stark contrast in character depending on the conditions. Relaxed, slack and buoyant - with easy pivot – in the deep, with obedient, hyper-responsive handle on groomers.

With its broad terrain versatility and multi-condition aptitude, the Daemon Birdie isn’t’ a ski which needs a particular set of conditions to coalesce before you can release their full potential. If ever there was a ski which was ready to go, whatever the weather, the Daemon Birdie is it.  Don’t wait around, with a resume like that we fully expect them to sell-out quickly!
