Volkl Skis

About Volkl

Volkl or Voelkl, are a brand steeped in 90 years of history. Like so many other German brands and household names, they pride themselves on that German precision and quality. One of the only ski brands to still be producing their skis in Germany, Volkl are confident that their products are genuinely better made as a result of the love and craftsmanship that goes into them on home soil.

Competition breeds quality

Coming from the same group of businesses as the excellent Marker bindings, Volkl are all about cutting edge technology that’s underpinned by quality workmanship – and it shows in the range of skis, snowboards and sportswear that they produce today.

Voelkl use the feedback and insight they get from top-level competition in both the alpine and freeski worlds, to push ski technology forward and develop new methods and techniques. But it’s equally important to them that these advances filter down all the way to their most economical recreational ski ranges and users, so that everyone who rides a Voelkl product feels the benefit.

One eye on the environment

Being a responsible manufacturer who wants to preserve the environment for future generations to enjoy, Volkl are totally committed to reducing their impact on the environment, and they’ve picked up numerous awards along the way for their efforts. Their top sheets are plastic-free, their edges are made up of 60% recycled steel and they try to minimise the amount of resin that they have to use wherever possible. Buying a Volkl product, you’ll know you’re getting your hands on something that’s been as thoughtfully made as any ski out there.

For a brand as old as these guys are to be at the top of their game is an achievement, but it’s testament to how they continue to drive innovation in alpine skiing, backcountry, touring and freestyle that they’ve got to where they are today.
