Take your freestyle further with Burton Pro-Rider, Mark McMorris’s board of choice. Lightweight and loaded with pop, the Burton Process gives you true-twin freestyle playfulness and all-terrain prowess. Loaded with top-of-the-line tech and performance at an unbeatable price.

Sitting just below mid-flex, the Process is a great choice for intermediates and up who are looking to develop their freestyle and park game but don’t want to compromise their enjoyment over the rest of the mountain.

Built around Burton’s Superfly II 700g core, a full wood construction that substitutes heavier woods for lighter weight species which offer fantastic strength-to-weight ratio. The triaxial woven fibreglass matrix helps to fine tune the board’s torsional flex, while the addition of a Carbon I-beam increases the longitudinal flex for increased power transfer to the nose and tail and powerful pop and rebound.

The core also features Dual-zone EGD design; running the full length of the toe and heel-side edges, wood laminates are rotated 90-degrees perpendicular to the core. This reduces response time by directing pressure straight out to the edges of the snowboard, enhancing control and edge-hold by eliminating core flex. This is topped off with Squeezebox profile, this patent-pending technology improves pop and performance by balancing thicker, more powerful core sections with thinner, more flexible sections. Power is transferred outward from beneath the feet to the tip and tail, making the board snappier, more stable and easier to manipulate.

The Process features Burton’s Channel mounting system which replaces traditional binding screw-inserts with a milled channel, giving you a stronger, faster, easier and more adjustable binding-to-board interface. The Channel is compatible with all major binding brands and gives you ultimate control of your stance.

Often likened to a “serrated knife”, the Frostbite edges extend out slightly at the bindings for super-charged edge-hold on hard and icy slopes. They offer powerful performance when you need it but remain smooth, flowing, and forgiving when you don’t.

The fully sintered base provides high levels of wax absorption and offers extra-fast, ultra-durable performance all season long, in any condition.

Pro-Tip technology utilises a tapered nose and tail profile to reduce the snowboard’s swing weight. By centring the core’s weight underfoot less effort is required to initiate and exit turns, slow kicker rotations and balance on rails and boxes. While Burton’s Scoop design, an exaggerated spoon-like shape in the nose and tail, tapering up at the contact points, allows for easier initiation of butters and presses, whilst also drastically reducing the instances of dreaded edge catch.

Infinite Ride technology maintains a constant flex, pop and feel from the boards first day until its last by “breaking in” the board during construction. This means the board will always ride the same way no matter how old it is or how much you’ve ridden it.

The perfectly symmetrical Twin Flex gives the Process a balanced ride that’s intuitive whether ridden regular or switch. Jib, spin, huck and butter with a greater balance of freestyle ability and stability no matter which way you ride it. This is complemented by a full camber profile, which gives the Process powerful and precise control with great rebound and edge hold from tip to tail.

What we say: “The Process is a great choice for intermediate snowboarders who don’t want to constantly update their board as their ability progresses. It’s tech-heavy yet obedient and manageable, providing just the right level of forgiving flex without sacrificing its stability or performance.”
