One of the most highly regarded urban and park boards in the game, the Horrorscope is team ridden, team designed and the best selling board in Capita’s history, making it a must-have deck for your quiver. Its throwback blunted shape with a shorter tip and tail, decreases swing weight which allows you to size down without losing any performance. This makes is easier to balance on rails, initiate and slow rotations and a breeze to huck on wallrides!

Just a touch softer than mid-flex, the Horrorscope is a great choice for intermediate freestyle riders and up who want a board that can handle urban features and park hits with ease but which still remains comfortable enough to cruise piste when necessary.

Built around Capita’s eco-friendly RFC Sustainable Select core, an FSC certified core made with a single species Poplar grain for a smooth, consistent ride. Extending from edge to edge and tip to tail the wood grain has no knots or finger joints enhancing response and providing a completely uniform flex pattern.

The board’s edges feature shock absorbing ABS sidewall construction for impact resistance and vibration dampening. This is complemented and bolstered against impact by the heat treated, hardened steel edge rails. The tip and tail of the Horrorscope feature Capita’s Bitter End Deflection technology, this intuitive design works by deflecting nose/tail impacts along the edges of the board and up into the sidewall, making it much harder to split or delaminate the topsheet and sidewalls.

The Horrorscope utilises Capita’s Form 6 fibreglass, biaxial laminates layered on the base and topside of the core. Each layer has fibres aligned at zero and 90 degree angles, laminated to increase energy and durability. This progressive glass configuration is laid up wet by hand during the lamination process and provides a durable predictable board that initiates turns easily, while retaining the pop necessary to handle variable conditions. The topsheet is bonded to the core using Capita’s “Evo Resin,” comprised of 60% plant based, renewable, agricultural raw materials produced with no waste or greenhouse emissions.

The Horroscope features Capita’s freestyle specific Urban profile. Zero camber underfoot for stability on rails and boxes with reverse camber from the inserts out, making butters and presses effortless while keeping the board catch-free.

Every board in Capita’s line is designed with four unique blend zones. This is the area after the sidecut ends and before the nose or tail shape starts. In this small section, the shape of the board must transition from a sidecut arc going one direction, into the tip shape arc going in the opposite direction. This very important section of the board is similar to the steering in your car. It's the driving force in initiating turns and determining where your board is going. A poorly designed blend zone will cause your board to be hooky or turn slowly and can limit your ability to transition between edges. Capita has taken the time to pay distinct attention to this detail; fine-tuning each and every board to make sure your riding experience is balanced and perfect.

On top of the blend zones, the Horrorscope benefits from Capita’s Flat Kick design technology, a tightened tip profile radius that blends the shoulders of the board into the nose and tail height on reverse camber boards. The tight tip radius in conjunction with tuned blend zones allows you to have a forgiving, easy to ride reverse camber board that is still responsive and quick during edge-to-edge transitions. This also creates a flat nose and tail which increases jibbing stability, aids butters & presses and also helps the board to plane on top of powder creating float and control.

What we say: “The Horrorscope is a board that needs no introduction, it literally sells itself. If you want a board for riding freestyle nights at the dome or you’ve had your eye on that elusive stair set for years but can’t bring yourself to hit it with your high-end board then the Horrorscope is a highly affordable, tech heavy, bomb-proof addition to your snowboard bag.”
