Today’s evolution toward bigger park jumps means more speed to execute them safely. Whether you’re popping ollies off of a mogul or ready to send it off a Superpark jump, you want confidence from your snowboard. The Capita Outsiders affords you the reliability you’re looking for and so much more.

Thanks to its slightly stiffer than mid-flex profile, it’s best suited to intermediate riders and up who want a park assured board with all-mountain character.

Built around Capita’s Canadian Maple Dual Core, comprised of Poplar strips fused with more dense and powerful Maple woodgrain through the insert area and along the rails. This creates a lightweight core that transfers power to the contact points and along the board’s effective edge. The core also features Carbon Fibre beams; known for its rigidity, high tensile strength, low weight, high temperature tolerance and low thermal expansion, carbon fibre is one of the most popular materials used in today’s high performance snowboards. This lightweight, strong material, when moulded into the core, increases power and response while remaining ultralight and poppy.

The edges feature shock absorbing ABS sidewall construction for impact resistance and vibration dampening. This is complemented and bolstered against impact by the heat treated, hardened steel edge rails.

The Outsiders utilises Capita’s Dynaweave woven fibreglass laminates; triaxial fibreglass on the top of the core with biaxial fibreglass beneath, creating more response while significantly increasing the board’s overall strength and durability. The topsheet is bonded to the core using Capita’s “Evo Resin,” comprised of 60% plant based, renewable, agricultural raw materials produced with no waste or greenhouse emissions.

The Outsiders features mainly positive camber, New Age profile. Fully cambered underfoot, this freestyle camber configuration flattens to zero camber 4cm before the end of the sidecut. The small zero camber sections provide a more controlled ride while retaining the response and power of a cambered board.

Every board in Capita’s line is designed with four unique blend zones. This is the area after the sidecut ends and before the nose or tail shape starts. In this small section, the shape of the board must transition from a sidecut arc going one direction, into the tip shape arc going in the opposite direction. This very important section of the board is similar to the steering in your car. It's the driving force in initiating turns and determining where your board is going. A poorly designed blend zone will cause your board to be hooky or turn slowly and can limit your ability to transition between edges. Capita has taken the time to pay distinct attention to this detail; fine-tuning each and every board to make sure your riding experience is balanced and perfect.

What we say: “The great thing about the Outsiders is that it acts as the perfect stepping stone for riders who’re comfortable cruising piste but want to take their first forays into the park to try their hand at kickers, boxes and rails.”
