The ultimate recovery tool for when every second counts.
BCA’s best-selling avalanche transceiver of all time, the Tracker 2 Avalanche Beacon Transceiver, is one of the fastest, most precise units available. Renowned for its simplicity, the push-pull transmit-receive tab is so easy to use it can be activated even with gloves on. At only 255 grams including a sling harness, it's comfortable and convenient for everyday use.
The Tracker 2 was one of the first transceivers to feature three digital antennae. Unlike the old 2-antenna analogue variants, the Tracker's antennas transmit and receive signals across all three axes, resulting in far greater accuracy when triangulating the victim(s) location. The information received is relayed via the Tracker 2's real-time display, which indicates the direction and distance to the casualty in a simple and easily digestible format.
In the event of a multiple burial situation, the Tracker 2 automatically illuminates an indicator light whilst simultaneously directing you towards the closest signal. If the casualties are buried within 5 metres of each other, the signal light flashes, prompting the rescuer to search in special mode, an advanced recovery technique which allows the rescuer to isolate individual signals. Should you yourself fall victim to a secondary slide, the Tracker 2 includes an auto-revert feature which forces the transceiver to switch from receive to transmit after 5 minutes of inactivity.
