Burton Name Dropper Camber Snowboard

Let your riding speak for itself with the Name Dropper's next-generation, park-tuned performance. Whether you're a seasoned regular in the park or you're just trying your first board slides, the Name Dropper features park specific design to make progression a breeze. It's a great addition to your existing quiver or as your go-to Friday night Dome board.

Sitting low on the flex-scale, the Name Dropper is perfect for intermediate riders and up who want a board that can effortlessly butter, press, slash and huck anything the park or dome has in store.

Built around Burton's Superfly II 800g core, a full wood construction that substitutes heavier woods for lighter weight species which offer fantastic strength-to-weight ratio. While the triaxial woven fibreglass matrix helps to fine tune the board's torsional flex.

The Off-Axis profile works by laying laminates diagonally at +/- 15 degrees under the binding inserts to create a “V” configuration across the board from the toe edge to heel-side. This helps to drive each of the edges by transferring power when riding “duck-footed”, a stance normally favoured by park and freestyle riders. Because the Process Off Axis is fully twin symmetric it doesn't matter if your ride regular or switch, the laminates will always line up with the position of your bindings.

The Name Dropper also features Off-Axis Filet-O-Flex, giving the board more flexibility without sacrificing performance. Filet-O-Flex utilises ultra-thin profiling to create a soft-flexing board which rips with maximum stability, durability, and grip.

The core also features Dual-zone EGD design; running the full length of the toe and heel-side edges, wood laminates are rotated 90-degrees perpendicular to the core. This reduces response time by directing pressure straight out to the edges of the snowboard, enhancing control and edge-hold by eliminating core flex. This is topped off with Off-Axis Squeezebox profile, this patent-pending technology improves pop and performance by balancing thicker, more powerful core sections with thinner, more flexible sections. Power is transferred outward from beneath the feet to the tip and tail, making the board snappier, more stable and easier to manipulate.

The Name Dropper features Burton's Channel mounting system which replaces traditional binding screw-inserts with a milled channel, giving you a stronger, faster, easier and more adjustable binding-to-board interface. The Channel is compatible with all major binding brands and gives you ultimate control of your stance.

Often likened to a “serrated knife”, the Off-Axis Frostbite edges extend out slightly at the bindings for super-charged edge-hold on hard and icy slopes. They offer powerful performance when you need it but remain smooth, flowing, and forgiving when you don't.

The fully sintered base provides high levels of wax absorption and offers extra-fast, ultra-durable performance all season long, in any condition.

Pro-Tip technology utilises a tapered nose and tail profile to reduce the snowboard's swing weight. By centring the core's weight underfoot less effort is required to initiate and exit turns, slow kicker rotations and balance on rails and boxes.

Infinite Ride technology maintains a constant flex, pop and feel from the boards first day until its last by “breaking in” the board during construction. This means the board will always ride the same way no matter how old it is or how much you've ridden it.

The perfectly symmetrical Twin Flex gives the Name Dropper a balanced ride that's intuitive whether ridden regular or switch. Jib, spin, huck and butter with a greater balance of freestyle ability and stability no matter which way you ride it. This is complemented by a Flat Top, zero camber profile, a flat profile overall with subtle rocker at the contact points provides an extra stable platform underfoot with a catch free feel at the tip and tail.

What we say: “If you're looking for an indoor/dryslope board or a new park board to compliment your existing quiver, then the Burton Name Dropper should be top of your list for consideration. Offering park, jib and freestyle specific design, it makes short work of park features without hurting your bank balance.”
