The G3 Zed 12 is based on the successful ION series but has every mechanism, every part and every screw has been reworked to make the binding as light as possible. With its minimalist design, the Zed 12 only weighs in at 358grams (per binding). But, the Zed 12 is still an extremely strong binding with excellent skiing performance thanks to 7000 series hot-forged aluminum and a long range of forward pressure in the heel for the perfect fit with the ski boot. This is binding for serious touring skiërs who are looking for a lightweight binding that gives perfect skiing performance on the way down.

The Zed 12 is designed to be used on wider modern skis, for big mountain and freeride skiers alike. The wide freeride mount gives superior transmission of power, as well as improving the torsional rigidity of the binding, so you can trust that you’re not compromising on performance with this super light binding. Furthermore, there is optimal elasticity in the toe piece for maximum energy absorption and minimized pre-release.

The Zed 12 is focused on allowing the skier to go further and do more in the mountains. Simple and efficient features such as the QuickFlick heel lifts that are simple to grab with your pole or hand and rotate either way, unlike other bindings, for pure innovative simplicity. Anti-snow packing features built into the toe and brake designs keep snow away and make for confidence-inspiring step-in, and there is 30mm of adjustment in the heel piece to fine-tune each setup. These features are efficiently designed to save weight and to be consistently reliable when you're deep into the mountains.

The Zed 12 doesn't come with a brake pre-installed but optional add on brakes are available and super easy to install. If you want to keep your set up as light as possible the Zed 12 comes with a pair of coiled cable lashes that are compatible with any ski boot to make sure you don't lose track of your skis.
