The 2020 Marker Baron EPF 13 Ski Touring Bindings deliver the same performance as their big brother, the Duke, with a DIN range for lighter, less powerful skiers. The change of DIN spring means your touring set-up is a handy 300 grams lighter - making all the difference during long days on the skin track. That's not to say shaving grams is the sole focus of the Baron - it's built around delivering the downhill performance of a traditional alpine binding to make all that climbing worthwhile.
Awesome boot-to-binding-to-edge power transfer
The Baron's chassis features Marker's Extended Power Frame, or EPF for short, giving it a footprint 46mm wider than standard frame bindings. The EPF allows the you to transfer your energy far more efficiently to the ski, which makes the Baron the perfect partner for your super-wide pow sticks. The edge-to-edge response of this binding is incredible, giving you all the hold you need for ripping those icier, exposed faces.
Weightless, effortless skinning
There are no two ways about it, skinning is really hard work. Any weight saving you can make is super-handy and the construction of the Baron helps in a big way - the Hollow Tech Frame is manufactured using gas-injection moulding to reduce materials used. What's more, when you switch the Baron into walk mode, the binding's centre shifts back 40mm comparatively to ski mode - giving your ski greater balance and making those all-important kick turns easier. Easily adjusted with your pole, the multi-angle hiking aid reduces strain during steeper ascents.
The 2020 Marker Baron EPF 13 Touring Bindings combines performance and function together into a go-anywhere, slay-anything package that's suitable for backcountry-goers, regardless of ability or experience.
