The ideal introduction to Marker's royal family, the 2019 Squire 11 ID Freeride Bindings lighten your load and marry it with high-performance power transmission. If you're new to the freeride world or don't quite have the weight to make the most of a Griffon or Jester, then the 3-11 DIN range of the Squire will serve you well.
A binding for everyone
The Squire isn't identified as specific to any single group, so guys of the less experienced and lighter categories will still enjoy the same level of performance. For women and kids looking to get on a pair of Marker's, they weigh in at just over 1500 grams and offer that friendlier DIN range that means they're both safe and lightweight.
Suitable across different boot soles
The Squire's toe piece features Sole.ID - it can be adjusted to fit alpine boots and boots with touring soles - regardless of which boots you wear, the toe piece offers smooth and consistent release. The Squire's Hollow Linkage Heel is designed to optimise retention across all types of boots too. It has a hollow axle constructed from aluminium to increase torsional stiffness without adding weight, ideal for hard rippers that don't want a bulky binding.
An Anti-Friction Device (AFD) plate in the toe piece acts as a shock absorber to eliminate pre-release, and when required, aids lateral release to prevent injury. The Triple Pivot toe design uses independent wings on a horizontal spring - the result compliments the smooth release of the SOLE.ID and AFD technology, with a lightweight aluminium bridge for additional support.
Weight saving, safety and performance all-in-one - the Squire is a real winner for lighter, less experienced skiers looking to enjoy the performance of Marker's royal family as they build their freeride legacy.
