The MSR (Mountain Safety Research) Elixir 2 Backpacking Tent gives you a versatile trekking shelter built around a lightweight design that offers plenty of room for you and your kit. The new upgraded Elixir 2 features room enough for 2 adults with 2 sheltered vestibules (now 35% larger) that are ideal for stowing gear and riding out bad weather in.

The Elixir offers a quick and simple setup with a free-standing design that excels on hard-to-pitch sites without the need for guylines where weather conditions permit. Two sheltered porches provide added living space and storage area with room to change wet clothing or prep gear and meals. Two easy-access entrances feature glow-in-the-dark zip toggles for convenience.

Internal pockets and a gear loft organise smaller items and keep essentials close to hand. Micro-mesh internal doors keep insects at bay and work with side venting to maintain airflow in warmer climes. Guylines provide further stability for wet and windy weather while the included custom footprint adds protection from wet, rocky and uneven ground.

A breathable mesh interior works with a solid canopy fabric to deliver ventilation, warmth and privacy. Weather protection comes with a hard-wearing 68D ripstop polyester rainfly with 1500mm waterproofing that when combined with MSR's proven water-resistant stitching and thread delivers robust and long-lasting weatherproofing.
