About the Switchback Smith

Brand new for 2020, the Smith snowboard binding from Switchback is a high end park and jib weapon. It features the Aeron base and ultra flexible Midbacks for a loose freestyle feel, so you can really get creative on the jumps, rails and boxes.

The Midback highback provides a soft to mid flex and is a little shorter than the standard highback. This will provide less response for a wider range of freedom suitable for jibbing and park use. The simple but effective highback is lightweight and is designed with zero forward lean so you can just strap in and go. The Midback highback are pro rider Jaeger’s go-to for park riding and jibbing.

These Switchback bindings use the new Aeron base, a revolutionary overmolding construction combining forged aluminium and polyamide nylon compound for improved responsiveness and a massive reduction in weight. The Aeron base has reduced contact to improve board feel and control, this is done be reducing the thick EVA footbeds that are common in most bindings and placed them in key areas of the heel and four corners of the base for targeted cushioning. When it comes to heavy landings, the Twin will have your back.

The Smith comes with Switchback's Miller Straps, which are pre-curved, flexible and fit snugly around any boot. The mesh TPU FlexFit inner liner hugs the boot and improves fit, whilst the outer straps disperses pressure evenly across your foot so you don't get any pressure points building up.
