The Gnarly bindings were made to be lightweight while still remaining strong

You don't need to hold back from going big with these strapped to your feet. Union is so confident in the durability of their bindings that they offer up a lifetime warranty on the base and the heelcup. The Gnarly is equipped with Union's Stage 4 Duraflex ST base which is lightweight and packs a heavy charge. This is combined with an Extruded 3D Heelcup which makes the base of the binding near indestructible. Union's use of Duraflex makes the base of the Gnarly stiffer and Multi-Density Thermoformed EVA Bushings dampen your ride making the bindings much more forgiving. Union have instilled this lightweight and durable ethos into the bindings down to even the finer details. Magnesium has been used to make the buckles of the Gnarly bindings, which is 4 times stronger than aluminium while still being 2 times lighter in weight.

Strong doesn't mean stiff - the Gnarly binding has impressive flex

The Multizonal Team Force Highback is the star of the Gnarly binding show. Following a classic design (with a few differences) the highback has a stiffer segment at the base so your turns are guided and precise, while the top is light and padded to ensure you are comfortable when leaning in and pressing off. Shift-On-The-Fly forward lean is a handy hack for those of you who need to adjust your highback's forward lean regularly, and you can do so without any tools or hassle.
