The Line Pescado is a directional fish-tail ski based around the same design principles as fishtail surf and snowboards. Designed by Eric Pollard as a fun, surfy directional ski it’s perfect for making the most of your powder lines. But unlike most other powder skis of a similar waist width it doesn’t feature over-the-top reverse camber from tip-to-tail meaning it’s as comfortable to ride on-piste as off.

It’s buttery soft creating a flexible and relaxed powder destroyer that suits intermediates and up, maximising the enjoyment of every powder line you lay down.

Built around Line’s new Partly Cloudy Core, a blend of lightweight woods, which offer the best strength-to-weight ratio possible. Whilst a full bamboo sidewall construction compliments the superlight core and helps to absorb vibration for a smooth, stable feel. In addition to this the base is sintered meaning you can really push your top speed in powder and on hard-pack.

The Pescado feature Thin Tip technology, a tapered construction which sees the ski’s core become thinner as it reaches the nose. This reduces the swing-weight of the ski for a more balanced feel and manoeuvrability.

Early Rise reverse camber at the contact points in the nose and tail dramatically reduce the chance of catching your edges on hard pack, give the ski extra lift in powder and help to make butters and presses easier. While the Early Taper shape means the widest points of the sidecut begin and end earlier in the ski. This drastically reduces the occurrence of tip and tail hang-ups on hard pack and in powder.

The Pescado are built with Line’s Directional flex pattern. This means the ski is mellow entering into turns but retains power and drive through the tail upon exit.

Topped off with 5-Cut geometry which has not one, but FIVE, different radii blended into the ski’s overall sidecut. The result is a ski which rides intuitively based on how fast you’re skiing and how much edge you’re using.

What we say: “If you’ve spent a fortune on a trip to Japan this season don’t settle for anything less than the Pescado to make the most of it. This thing absolutely rips deep snow, letting you lay down effortless rooster tails and windlip slashes.”

Size Guide

The size chart below provides a basic guide to finding the right ski length based on your height and ability but there are several other factors you should consider before choosing your new skis!

The two most relevant considerations when interpreting the chart below are your weight and the type of skiing you intend to do.

Weight: If you’re a heavier built that the average person of your height then we suggest choosing a longer ski as a heavier skier requires more edge to grip the snow and more base area for floatation in powder and cruddy snow.  Conversely, if you’re a slimmer build you may want to consider going for a shorter ski as you’ll need less edge / ski to support your weight than someone of an ‘average’ build.

Skier Type: Secondly, if you want a ski that’s going to inspire confidence when you’re skiing fast and you like to ski faster than most, then a longer ski is going to be preferable.   The additional edge and float provided by a longer ski will give you a more stable ride.  If, however, you’re more freestyle focussed and you want a ski that’s going to be more nimble and easier to manoeuvre at low speeds then a slightly shorter ski will work better for you as there will be less ski to manage.

If you have any queries at all on finding the right ski or ski size for you, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us for further advice.
