BOMBER PERFORMANCE WHETHER YOU’RE A PARK RAT OR A MOUNTAIN GOAT
Like the Jester Pro, the Jester 16 ID is an ideal choice for advanced freestyle and freeride skiers who demand uncompromising strength and reliability from their bindings - absolute confidence when you’re in no-fall zones, lapping the pro-line or charging groomers.
High-end performance for everyone, regardless of your boot choice
What sets the Jester 16 apart from the Pro however, is it’s Sole.ID toe piece – Sole.ID technology allows you to adjust the height of the AFD plate to accommodate both Alpine and AT walk-soles. This ensures you get smooth release and maximum power transfer no matter which boots you use - good news if you’re a freetourer; you can now use the same pair of AT boots with your alpine setup as you would with your touring setup – no more tough decisions over which setup to take skiing with you, pack both.
You’re not getting any younger – look after those knees
In the event you land super-backseat on a powder landing, the Jester’s Biometric Pro technology ensures your knees, and more importantly your cruciate ligaments, stay intact. Unlike standard alpine bindings, the Jester features Biometric Pro construction – intuitive technology that’s able to detect the forces associated with a backward, twisting fall and release your boot in plenty of time to avoid injury. This is complemented by the Jester’s Inter Pivot heel - designed to direct power at it’s angle of maximum elasticity, dramatically reducing binding pre-release and hugging your boot snugly and securely. Fancy shit, right?
If you’re stuck between the Jester 16 and the Pro, but you retain some vestige of self-preservation, then it probably makes sense to go for the former. The toned-down DIN spring and gliding AFD plate make the Jester 16 a little less gnarly and a little more sensible - ultimately, the difference between walking off the mountain or hitching a ride in the back of a heli.
