A functional freeride pack that makes a life in the backcountry so much more comfortable

The Free Rider is the downhill backpack that’s built for freeriders. An SPS Flex back protector combines the back system and protector into a Flexible unit. Built from eight pads that remain comfortably flexible even in the cold, the TÜV-certified protector adapts to the body and absorbs impact.

Protective and functional 

Ortovox use SAS tech protective foam. After outward applications of force, this Viscoelastic foam quickly returns to its original shape. In contrast to other cushioning materials, it can also withstand multiple impacts and is even responsive to small applications of force. Cushioning occurs in a near-linear fashion, which keeps stress on the human body low.

Additional safety features

As with all Ortovox backpacks, the Freeride series includes their emergency card: In the case of an emergency, the card provides information about the injured person and therefore allows for faster, safer and more efficient treatment.

Size Guide

Check out the Ortovox Backpacks size guide below. These sizes are for Ortovox Backpacks with built-in TUV-certified back protectors to ensure an accurate fit and total protection.

To determine the back length, use a measuring tape to measure yourself from the top of the hip bone up to the 7th cervical vertebra (it clearly protrudes).

  • Economy | Non-Tracked - £1.99

    Delivery expected by Saturday 30 March

    Small items are dispatched with the Royal Mail 48 service, which is estimated to take three to five working days. This service is not trackable and there are no guarantees on delivery date.
    Large or heavy items may need to be shipped with a different service, if you'd like to know more, contact us on 0131 260 9677. If the Postman is unable to deliver, you may be required to go to your local Mail sorting office to collect the package

  • Standard | Non-Tracked - £2.99

    Delivery expected by Thursday 28 March

    Dispatched with Royal Mail 1st Class. Delivery will be made by your Postman at the usual time. This service is not trackable and there are no guarantees on delivery date. For larger items, we may need to ship with a courier, if you'd like to know more, contact us on 0131 260 9677. If the Postman is unable to deliver, you may be required to go to your local Mail sorting office to collect the package.

  • Next Working Day | Tracked - £4.99

    Delivery expected tomorrow

    Most items will be dispatched with DPD and are fully track-able. The delivery must be signed for so someone must be at the specified address to accept the items. It is not possible for the delivery driver to leave the packages without a signature.
    In rare cases, rural addresses may be 2 days for delivery. If you are concerned please get in touch before placing order.
    The cut-off for next day delivery is 12 noon. However, if placing an urgent order after this deadline, please call us on 0131 260 9677 and we will do our best to ensure it gets to you in time.

  • Royal Mail Special Delivery | Tracked - £11.99

    Delivery expected by 13:00 tomorrow

    Delivery will be made by your postman next day, before 1pm. Deliveries are made every day except for Sundays. The cut-off for next day delivery is 12 noon. However, if placing an urgent order after this deadline, please call us on 0131 260 9677 and we will do our best to ensure it gets to you in time.

  • DPD 12 Noon | Tracked - £14.99

    Delivery expected by 12:00 tomorrow

    Delivery will be made by 12noon on the next working day (Monday to Friday). This delivery must be signed for, so someone must be at the specified address to accept the delivery.
    The cut-off for next day delivery is 12 noon. However, if placing an urgent order after this deadline, please call us on 0131 260 9677 and we will do our best to ensure it gets to you in time.

  • DPD Saturday 12 Noon | Tracked - £19.99

    Delivery expected by 12:00 on Saturday 30 March

    Delivery will be made by 12noon on the Saturday morning. This delivery must be signed for, so someone must be at the specified address to accept the delivery.

  • Collect in Store - £0.00

    You can place your order online and drop into our store in Edinburgh, Scotland, to collect your order. Please enter your billing address into the delivery address section, and tick the box to say both addresses are the same.
    Orders will be kept aside for 2 weeks. If you require longer, please email contact@freezeproshop.com

Returns

OUR RETURNS POLICY

Generally, we'll be happy to exchange or refund anything you've bought for up to one month from the date you receive it, so long as it’s in perfect, unused condition. If you'd like to return or exchange an item you bought more than one month ago, then you may be able to, but please email us about it first – a small restocking charge may also apply.

Returning or exchanging an item does not affect your statutory rights. You’ll find the official cancellation policy within full our Terms & Conditions.

EXTENDED RETURNS FOR CHRISTMAS

All orders made between 1 November 2018 and 24 December 2018 are eligible for our extended return period. So, if you’re buying someone a gift and it’s not quite right, you’ve got until 24 March 2019 to return it*.

WHO COVERS THE COST OF RETURNING AN ITEM?

You’re responsible for the cost of returning items to us, but if you choose an exchange, we’ll be happy to cover the cost of shipping things back to you.
