A Splitboard Binding Designed for Those Less Concerned with Weight-Saving, And More About Ripping That Line

The Surge Splitboard Bindings from Spark R&D are those that like to give it once they reach the summit. Built for more aggressive riding styles, the Surge has a stiffer baseplate than its cousin the Arc, with the same responsive Telsa T1 system, Rip ‘N’ Flip Highbacks, and hardy Pillow Line Straps.

Easy changes from skin mode to ride mode

The Surge Splitboard Bindings feature Spark’s Telsa T1 system. To climb, the binding is slid into the touring bracket and the snap ramp is locked down – that’s it, simple. The T1 Heel Rest offers base, 12° and 18° angles to keep you comfy on the climb, these are easily switched between with your pole. To change to ride that line, the same snap ramp locks you into your downhill bracket securely.

Rip ‘N’ Flip Highbacks and Pillow Line Straps

Spark R&D’s Rip ‘N’ Flip Highbacks in the Surge Bindings are super-stiff for maximum response. There’s tool-free forward lean adjustment to get them in the right position for the up and the down. New this season, the Pillow Line Straps are 53% lighter than last year’s. They are perfectly suited to the backcountry since they are durable, comfortable and uber-responsive.

For hard-charging splitboarders, the Spark R&D Surge Bindings are a winner.

Size Guide

Spark Snowboard Bindings Size Guide

The chart below gives you Spark's suggested sizing for their splitboard binding range.

If you're between sizes, we would recommend that a smaller binding will be better as it will save you a little weight and also give you a more responsive ride and better edge hold on traverses and ascents.

The Spark splitboard bindings have an adjustable chassis size and generous customisation on the straps.
